Dr. Benham

Dr. Benham

 Dr. Randy Benham is a lifelong resident of Brandenburg, KY. He has owned and operated animal clinics in Meade County for over 30 years, served both small and large animals, with a special interest in ophthalmology. Before pursuing his goal to be a veterinarian he severed in the Air force from1971-1976. In 1981, Dr. Benham graduated from Murray State University with his bachelors in Science , and in 1985, he graduated from Auburn School of Veterinary Medicine in Auburn, AL. Dr. Benham has dedicated his life to the care of animals of all shapes and sizes. He is proud to offer a full-service animal care practice, fully equipped with an in-house lab, pharmacy and surgery suite, right in his hometown.

Dr. Emma

Dr. Rich

Dr. Emma Rich is a Georgia native and grew up in Marietta, where, from an early age, she dreamed of becoming a veterinarian. She graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences. Dr. Rich loved Athens and the Bulldawgs so much that she continued her education at UGA’s College of Veterinary Medicine where she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. During her clinical training she completed a diverse array of externships including time at the Georgia Aquarium, Atlanta Humane Society, and Exotic & Avian specialty hospitals. After graduating, she worked in private practice in Atlanta for 3 years, and recently moved to Louisville, KY in 2022. Her clinical interests include preventative medicine, ophthalmology, dermatology, and exotic medicine. In her spare time, she loves traveling (especially to the beach), spending time outdoors, and attending rock concerts. She strives to work with care and compassion to strengthen the human-animal bond and loves meeting new patients and their owners alike.

Dr. Gayheart

Dr. Gayheart

 Dr. Cary Gayheart obtained her veterinary degree from University College Dublin, Ireland. Her special interests in medicine are brachycephalic breeds (especially pugs), all things cat related, nutrition and obesity, internal medicine, and dentistry. When not working she enjoys being outside hiking with her dogs in nice weather or inside on the couch catching up on crochet or cross-stitch projects in bad weather, usually with help from her dogs. Dr. Gayheart currently lives in Louisville with her husband, son, a pug, a chihuahua mix, and a domestic long hair cat.

Dr. Stickler

Dr. Katie Stickler was born and raised in Bowling Green, KY. She attended the University of Kentucky for her bachelor's degree and achieved her veterinary degree from Auburn University in 2020. Dr. Katie loves working with both people and animals and enjoys all areas of veterinary medicine. Her interests include integrative medicine, dermatology, orthopedics, exotics, and hospice care. She also has additional certifications in both canine acupuncture and canine physical rehabilitation. Her family includes her loving husband, TJ, two dogs, two cats, and a bearded dragon. In her free time Dr. Katie enjoys outdoor activities, especially kayaking with her husband and dogs. She and her husband love traveling, especially to the National Parks where they enjoy hiking the trails and being outdoors.
